I did a search and found some conflicting (To me) info on this makers mark. I think there is an issue with them if it ends in a full stop but not if there isn't one?

Hi jerry if there is a full stop behind the gaunt it is generally regarded as a 1970 restrike mike c

I don't think that's an issue on a/a badges.

For clarity:
JR Gaunt.London in a medium font on brass badges is a fake mark. JR Gaunt London Ltd on a/a is a later mark. JR Gaunt London Ltd. is a mark found on the unissued TAVR badges whose designs are from 1968. It's these which are the concern as they were not worn and it is possible that they were made for collectors and not for units that did not actually exist. |

It does not have the dreaded full stop but on AA I think it is a different issue with the a full stop which is what I was asking about. |
