I think this Guards training battalion badge..or is it something else

question - is it real?

have these been faked extensively?

came out of a local auction....outside my area of collecting

It’s a Household Brigade Cadet Battalion badge. They have been copied because they are relatively scarce and the genuine ones are expensive. Can you post some better photos?

Guards badge

Sorry but i think this is a copy.Poor enamel ,footed lugs and very poor rear detail.I`d get shot of it.

The edge on originals are bevelled also.
