From E bay and costing a fiver ,a most interesting little book "Rank Badges of Britains Allies" originally costing 6d and with ( it says on the cover ) 600 illustrations. Never seen another example.

I did wonder after looking through the book how many Field Marshals there were in the Polish Army and how many Admirals of the Fleet there were in the (Fighting ) French Navy ?
