RAAF Pilot wing
 

Hi.

A recent pickup amongst a collection of RCAF items. Well outside my area. I have read up on them perhaps being Cdn made for BCATP types schooled in Canada.

They look "home-padded" in that a shaped piece of felt has been set in the back and glued over with the tan material.

The style looks like Canadian made flat RCAF to me. More red in the crown and the wing feathers look like many Cdn ones I've seen.

It is much dingy-er than the pics seem to show.

The pics show it be better looking than it is. In natural light, the whites blue and red are much less bright. This has me worried that it's a duff piece. I'll try another photo....

Darrell don't worry about it, as we said, it's a fine original of Canadian manufacture.
