New to the forum - opinions please
 

Please find attached images of two badges. I have owned both for a number of years. The RSF must be over forty years in my possession; the Scottish Horse at least twenty. I think the latter may be a collar badge.

Anyway, I would like to set my mind at ease having read of the pitfalls so I hope my collection will not now be decimated!!

Without actually holding the badge in your hand, from a screen image it is difficult to say whether badges are original.

Just looking at the two, I think your descriptions and the badges are ok.

Other people may differ, but I have only been collecting for sixty years . . !

Thank you for your view - I have had a break of around forty years from when I last took my collection seriously. It makes me realise that there is now so much to it that in past seemed insignificant.
