Croix de Guerre Recipients

Does any know if there is way to check recipients of the Croix de Guerre?
There is a list on wikipedia, but I'm not sure how complete it is:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Croix_...n_World_War_II

thanks
Paul

Hi Paul,

As far as I know, there is no central archives related to Citations for the Croix de Guerre.
Thousands have been awarded at different levels : army, division, brigade, regiment ...

Best regards .. Herve

Hi Paul
I may be missing something but note the Wiki list is of 'notable recipients' - It would in deed be interesting to know if there is any equivallent to the 'London Gazette', although Herve's response perhaps suggests not.

Hello Paul, this may interest you it's from the Military Historical Society 1973. As you are in Cheshire, it may interest you that the 9th & 12th Cheshire's were awarded it.

If there was an accessible on-line list it would be quite long.

On 1 March 1920 the Ministry of War listed 2,055,000 individual citations, but that figure is much lower than the actual one because it does not include posthumous citations and Croix de Guerre accompanied by the Légion d'Honneur and the Médaille Militaire . . .
You could try this site. http://www.croixdeguerre-valeurmilitaire.fr/ I had a quick look but no joy in finding any such search function, however my French is very rusty.
