Lapel Badge, 2nd Canadian Division

2 Attachment(s)
I have picked up a lapel badge for the 2nd Canadian Division, complete with the C II that I tend to associate more with WW1 than WW2.

It has an unusual back. Unusual for the UK anyway. The badge is in one piece, with a non removable back.

Does anybody know if this is an item from between the wars or post WW2?

Hello BWEF, you have a veteran's button hole badge for the 2nd Division First WW. These were worn on civilian suit jackets or blazers by the vet, intended for the button hole found on lapels. (The Second WW designation was 2 Canadian Infantry Division, which helps in dating these.)

Very many thanks for the reply.

Not a bad buy for 99p!

There are similar pins with the Bn device above the 2 Div sign. Eg 21st Bn with the green rectangle over the blue one.

When roughly 10% of the population were Veterans, there was a market for these pins. Here are some other examples.
