Good day,

Hi Ben,

This is a ww2 orginal one as worn by French when they switched to maroon beret end 1944. Ww2 Belgian SAS wore the same type.

Cheers
JB

I can’t believe people are bidding on this one alarm bells ringing on all sides.

In ww2 Kangol did not have plastic diamond, Kangol did not even produce produce sand sas berets in ww2, badge is a common fake, wd stamp is mint compared to rest beret. It appears makers mark has been messed with how does that fade under the plastic? Weave is not like ww2 kangol berets...etc!

Cheers
JB

I note it is from the same seller with rhe iffy green beret that Irv posted a thread warning against.

Thanks JB for your return.

More pictures of the beret.
I think that the beret is a French made.

Best regards
Ben
