RFC Collars - Roden

Recent acquisition
Canadian made Royal Flying Corps collar badges, both Roden marked. Bought on eBay - well known Canadian dealer. They were priced well below unmarked RFC collars that can be found on UK sites and because of the maker, I would have expected other collectors to have grabbed them. |
I have not seen any RFC collars attributed to any other Cdn maker.

On a tangent, it appears there is a significant softening in collecting interest. Rare badges still command strong values, but it seems there is a lot of material going unsold at auctions in particular.

British made, die struck brass, other ranks examples are actually very scarce as Home Service Full Dress was withdrawn in 1914, prior to that, the Corps was still rather small and it would appear that not every rank and file member had those handsome tunics in the first place.
